Perinatal Therapist in Rye & Westchester, NY
I am a perinatal mental health therapist licensed in New York, and I work with women and couples in Rye and across Westchester County. I help with postpartum depression and anxiety, worry and low mood during pregnancy, fertility treatment, pregnancy loss and termination for medical reasons. My New York sessions are virtual, so you can meet with me from home.
Where I see clients in New York
I see clients virtually throughout Westchester, including Rye, Rye Brook, Port Chester, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, Scarsdale and White Plains, and anywhere else in New York State. I am also licensed in Connecticut, where my office is in Greenwich (Cos Cob).
Many new parents find virtual sessions easier. There is no drive and no childcare to arrange, and you can be in a quiet room at home with your baby close by.
What I help with
- Postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety in the weeks and months after your baby arrives
- Anxiety and low mood during pregnancy, including high risk pregnancies
- Fertility, IVF and IUI, and the questions that come up before you start trying
- Pregnancy loss and miscarriage
- Termination for medical reasons (TFMR)
Partners are welcome. These experiences affect both of you, often in different ways.
Why see a perinatal therapist?
Perinatal mental health is my main area of expertise. The stress of trying to conceive, the grief of a loss and the exhaustion and worry of the first months with a baby are not the same as everyday stress. It helps to talk with someone who focuses on this time of life and understands what you are going through.
How I work
My style is supportive, solution focused, non judgmental and collaborative. I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, and I take time in tailoring your therapeutic experience to meet your individual needs and goals.
Our first conversation is a free phone consultation, so you can get a sense of whether we have a good match. It is also an opportunity for me to decide whether or not I will be able to help you. If I am not the right fit, I can connect you with another counselor to serve your needs.
Please call me at 203-660-0613 or request an appointment. I look forward to speaking with you!
